NBC Has Cloned Jay Leno

Our good Wheezer friend and high school classmate, Bryce Zabel has written and produced a comedy short featuring "Junior" Leno - a younger cloned Jay (played by Jonathan Zabel) This is a real wheezer! And yes, that's Don Most from Happy Days as "The Doc"

Spec On The Sun

See that tiny spec in front of the Sun, there? Amateur astronomer Thierry Legault captured some great shots from here on Earth with his own telescope and a Canon 5D Mk II camera tricked out with a Baader solar prism, which makes the Sun look like a pleasant yellow racquetball instead of a retina-scorching ball of fire. Live long and prosper....

Beam Me Up, Scotty

Well, almost "Beam me up". How about, "Ride me up"? Japanese scientists are once again looking at developing a space elevator. Up and down the 22,000 mile-long cables — or flat ribbons — will run the elevator carriages, themselves requiring huge breakthroughs in engineering to which the biggest Japanese companies and universities have turned their collective attention.
