First Date With Sam Kinison

It was 24 years ago this evening that Angie and I went on our first date - to see Sam Kinison! We were accompanied by the late Wheezer Neil Sterett and his girlfriend at the time, Laura Brown. And of course, Wheezer Steve Lindstedt was in attendance. This was when Kinison always included his "first date" bit in his act. Good thing Angie has an amazing sense of humor!

Thinking more about first dates and Neil: He used to be a pretty good litmus test for new women in our lives. If they didn't 'get' Neil, if they didn't think he was funny, just thought he was weird, it was a safe bet they wouldn't get us either; it wouldn't last.

Great artwork, Scott! I can't see Kinison without thinking of Neil, especially his bit to end world hunger. It's on YouTube, a comedy classic!
