I remember a series of radio old commercials that a local cab company ran back in the late 50's and early 60's. Wheezer Neil Sterett SWEARS that this was one of the jingles:
Husband dead?
Gun in hand?
Gotta run
To beat the band
Call BR-1234
Broadway Cab
Right to your door.
Here's an old Portland magazine ad that seems to support his claim...

Does anyone remember Abbie N. Woods who went out with a cab driver in Portland Oregon? Back in 1969?

The other one i remember Neil doing was:
"See the floor polish the baby drank?
C'mon, Mom! Please don't spank!
Call Capitol-Seven 1-2-3-4!
Broadway Cab, right to your door!"
It never failed to have us wheezing...

You are correct, but the only documentation I could find online of actual old Broadway Cab ads show the BRoadway 1234 - must've predated the CApitol 7-1234 phone sequence.

I thought it was Capitol Seven (CA-7) 1-2-3-4...?
