Okay. Okay. They say the first thing to go is your memory. Well, that may be true... thank God some of my old classmates have better memories than me. It was Jan Powell (not pictured) who was duo- cast as Yum Yum with Sally Wheeler. Jennifer Nesheim played the role Katisha. Ed Fitz as Ko-Ko The Tailor. Scott Leverenz a Pooh-Bah. Mike Murnin as The Mikado (also directed his Freshman year!!) David Frye was Pish-Tush, Mark Campbell as Nanki-Poo, Harriet Burkholder was Peep-Bo and the late Ann Brownell was PItti-Sing.

Mark,
I DO remember those moments -- though I hadn't thought about them for YEARS! How you ever managed to carry off the slipping pants bit as a vulnerable teenaged male is still a mystery to me. Well done, brave one!

I have many funny stories from the Mikado. During one performance my pants fell down to my ankles while I was on stage. In another I skipped 4 pages of dialogue. Finally, during one performance I was in the bathroom and missed my entrance. I was forced to begin my lines while running through the audience back to the stage.

Jan never performed the role of Yum-Yum

Oops! Now that I've actually read Jan's comment,I guess I must be wrong about the double-cast question. It's a giant stretch back in time for this ol' memory ... and it didn't do too well!

Hey Scott, Here's another piece of the puzzle: Lorna Mumford was double cast with Jen Nesheim as Katisha and actually played the role for at least one performance. Also, you might include that Gary Powell was the piano accompanist. Are you sure Jan was "double cast" as Yum-Yum? She didn't ever perform the role, did she?
