Harrison Ford The 1st

In 1922, Lon Chaney made the film, Shadows, co-starring Harrison Ford. Yes, Harrison Ford! (But not THAT Harrison Ford)
The first Harrison Ford was from Kansas City and eventually left school to join the various theatre circuits along the East Coast. Heading to Hollywood in 1915, Ford became part of the Famous Players-Lasky Corporation, starting our in bit parts, until he got his "big break" in 1917 with the part of Dick Alden in The Crystal Gazer. Ford went on to star in dozens of other silent films, working with such greats as Constance Talmadge, Wallace Reid, Norma Talmadge, Clara Bow, Marie Prevost, Marion Davies, Lon Chaney, and Gloria Swanson.
With the arrival of sound, he left movie making in 1932 and returned to the stage. He did some stage work in London, did some work with Pasadena Playhouse, toured with the USO during WWII. He also did a little stage directing.
In 1951, at the age of 66, he was struck by a car not far from his home, suffering a brain concussion and fractured ankle. Never fully recovering from his injuries, Ford died in 1957 at the age of 72.
Harrison Ford did receive a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, which many people thought belonged to the younger (unrelated) Harrison Ford, until "Indiana Jones" Ford finally received his own star in 1993.
